Winter Dew Tour Captures The Action On The Slopes

Nearly 400 of the best of the best?winter action sports athletes will compete again this year for the Dew Cup as part of the Winter Dew Tour. With $2.5M in prizes, the Dew Tour began in 2008 as the first winter action sports tour featuring snowboard and freeski superpipe and slopestyle events.

Not only do action sports fans get to watch the likes of Shawn White, Eric Willett and Jamie Anderson do their thing, but even casual fans get a treat with live concerts and showcases of the most cutting edge products.

This year's official sponsor is GoPro, the people that took the helmet cam to a whole new level. They will be offering free prizes as well as peaks at their latest products such as the HD HERO2. Anyone that has been on the slopes in the past few years see more and more skiers and riders using a helmet camera to record their greatest feats as well as epic fails. GoPro has been at the forefront of providing top quality, user-friendly HD cameras. The cameras have one-of-a-kind versatility, allowing even the most amateur photographer to wear and mount the lightweight devices on the most extraordinary places, giving viewers unbelievable views of cruising down steep hills, cruising through thigh-high powder and getting major air off ramps and jumps.

GoPro supposedly paid big money to be able to sponsor this years Winter Dew Tour, but the payback could be many times that, with the company establishing themselves as the Go-To product for easy to use and high quality filming of lighting quick action.

The Winter Dew Tour began on December 15th at Breckenridge, CO and will travel to Killington,VT and Ogden, UT officially ending February 12th, weather permitting.
